Paramore- Poster

This is one of the posters that i found of Paramore's new
album ' Brand New Eyes'.The poster continues with the theme of the CD cover with the continuing use of dull lighting and simple colours that could suggest the type of music, of the more hard rock genre. The butterfly is continued onto the poster which again is bringing together a theme and making the band more recognisable in more ways than just their name. The poster seems to be more detailed which is often what happens, with a band member in the corner and slightly more detail to the background. The expression on the females face and the road behind her could tell a story, possibly her struggle to get to where she is and the long road which has brought her to where she is. The red/ orange hair again suggests the genre of music and this is a strong aspect of her mise-en-scene throughout. She looks like a punk/ emo which is definitely reflected in the music. However one difference that i easily noticed, was the different size of font for the band name. I think this is because posters are more to see from a distance and you are more likely to pick up a CD and read the smaller writing, whereas posters you rarely get close and read all the detail. The bigger font is effective in making the public notice the name and also the butterfly will make the public build assosciations that they will remember when going to buy a CD.
